Re: Depth finder
Char,
I believe most depth sounders or fish finders are supposed to work even
mounted inside the hull. I tried mounting one in my West Wight Potter 15'
and it did not work. It could have been my lack of skill at mounting. I
removed it from the V-berth inside hull location and mounted it on the
transom where it worked just fine. I believe my San Juan 23 depth sounder is
a through hull located in the V-berth area. I will have to check this out.
