Re: Boom adjustment
We are currently sailing with a San Juan 21 mainsail, which is slightly low
from the toip of the mast (much as you describe) and find it sails quite well,
with the added benefit of raising the boom slightly (more headroom!)
Question - does the mainsail foot (On the 23 main sails out there) stretch
all the way to the end of the boom? FOr higher winds, I try to pull all of the
outhaul out and the sail goes block to block at the aft end of the boom. How
about others out there?
