Re: SJ23 Bulkheads
i did that this summer. the chain paltes had leaked for a few years before she came into my protection. the plywood was delaminated at the top and bottom but it wasn't rotten so i reglued the ply's with polyester resin and capped off the top and bottom 1 1/2" with a nice coat of resin. it was an easy job but the compression post did have to shift a few inches to the starboard at the bottom. i also remember chiseling a small corner off the bottom starboard corner of the bulkhead to get it over the flange that ties the post to the cabin floor. i took out both bulkheads, rebuilt them and replaced them in an afternoon at the dock so it's not a bad job. -scott
