Re: Hole in the transom
If the hole was for a gas line, I suggest drilling another hole on the
starboard side for a new gas line. This way the fuel line doesn't
interfere with the rudder. Use the plug from the newly drilled hole to
repair the one one the port side. This will require some building up
and gelcoat repair work.
PS: Once your lines go through the new hole, plug the remaining air gap
so water doesn't get in. A wave from the back is probably the least of
your troubles. Rain is more likely to dribble in leaving a mess under
the cockpit.
