No, But I have friends who have, no complaints:
I'm a strong advocate of "Overkill". Everything installed on my boat was
designed for a 35 to 40 foot boat. I have a bad back and my big winches
make cranking in the 155% in fresh air a breeze (pardon the pun).
Marine Exchange will allow you to trade in your used winches for new self
tailing winches. Then they turn around and sell the old non self-tailing
winches at bargain prices. I see that they have 16:1 non self-tailing
winches at the moment for $325.00 for the pair. That's a great price.
