The San Juan Mark I is the shoal keel model; the Mark II is the fin keel
model. The letters you are referring to relate to rig specs: I is the
height of the foretriangle, J is the base of the foretriangle, P is the
length of the mainsail luff, and E is the length of the main foot. See Tech
Tip H02 for all of the specs.
