Mike, and Kathy,
To do a lasting repair job on your keel, you need to take the
gel coat off. I have used a grinder with 12 grit paper. Then use the Interlux
system to epoxy the keel. It takes two coats of primer and thee coats of finish
coat. You can put on two coats a day, if you start early. This is the only way I
know of to cure blisters. If you are not willing to do this, keep repairing the
ones that show up every year.
