Hi Rudy:

I use a couple of  #6 Barlow winches mounted on the coach roof of 
Panache.  They do the job OK till I have to winch someone up the mast. 
That's when I discovered that they don't have sufficient power to crank 
a young lad up the mast.  Just another thing to consider when buying a 
winch. Other than that, they do a fine job of tensioning the halyard.
