Mike,
Any blocks in your arrangement? Do you use line or wire? Are you using a hook or a line through the grommet and secured to the other side of the mast?
Slower would be fine with my wife:)....From New Bern to Ocracoke will probably be a long, long day but we hope to do it sometime.

My cunninham is rigged through the grommet at the tack of the sale and down to a cleat on the mast.

We took ours to Lookout last year -  great trip - plan on doing Ocracoke in the 23 sometime- did it in the SJ 21 many times...23 would be better...slower, but better
