Bob,

Thanks, we bought our 23 a year ago, although it was in comparatively
good shape from the pool available locally, we are still trying to get a
hold on a reasonable maintenance/upgrade budget.  

Being new to sailing as well as our San Juan, trying to differentiate
cool stuff from necessary budget items leads to differences of opinion
within the family.

Your site has been a great resource and a grounding influence as well
(can I say grounding when talking about sailboats?).

To Alex and George:

I've completed Tech Tip B09 and added a diagram with more text to 
describe a compression sleeve and the installation process.  It is too 
cumbersome to describe a solution for each of your problems, especially 
since they are so similar.  I thought that clarifying the Tech Tip would

be better for you two, and the rest of us. if you still have a problem 
then please email me directly.
