There are only three reasons why a Juan wont go where you want to go.....Too much current, not enough wind, & goober operator. I have bin all three. The best way to overcome these problems is to race your Juan against other boats and it doesn't matter whether you win or loose ....you'll learn more about your boat in a few races then a whole season of sailing....there is a fourth reason, bow  ornament it will knock a sailor off coarse faster then anything else .
