I don't know about Rudy's boat, but in many of the last SJ 23 boats (made by San Juan Manufacturing, or their successor) had two large fixed windows (roughly the same size on each side of the cabin top - inset in the foreward of those fixed windows was an opening port (standard size port) in about the same spot as the smaller fixed port on older sj 23's

It was a cool look with somewhat better ventillation
