Sorry no real references to point to, just e-mails I have received from
other SJ 23 owners. I'm assuming you have sailed the Strait of JDF without
issue on a good day?

That sounds a bit odd to me.  Do you have any better reference?  I'd 
have no qualms about Strait of JDF, if I could pick my day.
