Hi Mark, I owed a SJ23 for 11 years.  I believe the 23 came standard w/o
pushpit or lifelines.  One on the first things I did was order both.  The
installation was a bit hairy.  Need to make sure you are a small 160lbs
person or have a friend who is.  I have spent a fair amount of time in my
port cockpit locker working on this or that, but wasn't able to squeeze over
far enough to put the starboard backing plate & nuts on.  I had a former
A-10 jet pilot do the honors for me.  Cost quite a bit of beer afterwards,
but  the security we felt from the installation was worth the pain.  We
didn't need to cut any inspection ports to do the job.  Good Luck, Gordon
