Re: Anyone replaced an internal (wooden) bulkhead?

I use half inch mahogany plywood, with teak faces. Varnish makes a nice
finish, with at least five coats. Make sure you use marine, or at least
exterior plywood. Medium density plywood works well, if you can laminate a
veneer over it.

I need to replace my bulkheads as well. What type of wood did you use?
Marine Plywood? Also, how did you finish the edges? Did you use varnish to
finish the wood?

Thanks!

Paul

Just finished replacing bulkheads myself. I am a finish carpenter, but it
should not be a big job for anyone. I believe there is plenty of info in the
tech tips. If you need any advice, let me know.
