Re: depth sounder




I have one myself that I epoxied to the hull. The unit worked great but I did have a hard time getting the trunsducer to stay attached. The bond would never work out very well as the hull flexed too much and it broke off twice with differnet epoxy mixes and positions. Finally I Sikka Flex'd it to the hull. Hasn't broke loose at all and has been working quite well.

I alos mounted the head unit inside the cabin inorder to not make holes in the bulkhead. I don't like it and think I may move it shortly to a drop board instrument panel I have yet to make.

hummingbird is a good one. You can put the transducer under the vee berth in
a dome full of mineral oil, and shoot through the hull. I had one for years
that worked great.
