You are right, there is a good possibility that you scuppers are leaking.
give your fittings a good rap with a hammer, or 2X4 to see if they are still
sound. Better they break on the trailer, or at the dock, rather than in
thirty knots of wind. That could be a real oh dam. I would replace the
hoses, and take a good look at the through hull fittings. I have used
stainless steel sink baskets for the cockpit drains. They are 1 1/2" pipe
thread, and hold up very well. They are short, and you can screw plastic
pipe ells with barbs if you want to change direction without sharp hose
bends. You can get the sink baskets at a commercial plumbing store, not Home
Depot and the like. Good luck.
