rudy-  i've done this job twice and used sikaflex both times.  both times it's ended up leaking, i think because of the time it takes to line up all the holes and snug the whole thing down and it turned out to be a very messy job.  next time, third time lucky, i'll try butle.  i think when i origionally took it off there was some sort of mastic or thick gummy tape as a seal. 

obviously i don't know what shape your galley takes but mine was origional at the time and although it was awkward all the nuts were accesable without disassembling any other part of the boat.  good luck  -scott
